Christina Burden, owner of Essential Admin & Consulting is a proud native of the San Francisco Bay Area. Raised in Oakland, Christina graduated from Oakland Technical High School.
Decades ago while climbing the ranks at the Northern California Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Christina excelled in many areas. Being promoted from receptionist to Finance Manager in less than 2 years, the MS Society is where she found her passion for numbers and decided to return to school and earn her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In 2008 Christina moved on from her comfort zone to advance her career with Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland, as the Vice President of Finance. However, that opportunity was abruptly disrupted in 2010 when the finance and accounting functions were outsourced due to economic reasons. While in these positions Christina worked with very talented and inspiring colleagues and developed many long-term personal and business relationships.
In 2011 Christina decided to go into business for herself, and Essential Admin & Consulting was born. Now as an experienced Finance Manager and Vice President of Finance with an MBA, Christina is confident in her abilities to provide excellent service. Her expertise lies in her ability to effectively interact with clients and vendors, identify and resolve complex accounting issues and develop solutions for achieving the goals and objectives of her clients.
Still residing in Oakland, Christina enjoys operating Essential Admin & Consulting, while coaching volleyball at her alma mater, Oakland Tech, and volunteering with various organizations.
